The study (The Lancet Psychiatry, 2020, DOI: 10.1016/S2215-0366(20)30256-8) says kids feel less scared when they believe they can solve problems. Self-efficacy, or feeling strong, helps them tackle challenges and stay calm. In the HARMO method, the ring finger (“Master responsibility”) stands for this strength. You ask: “What does love learn? What does responsibility remember?” and hold the ring finger with your other hand, like a circle of friends. This helps you learn, like planning better, to shrink fears. The study shows self-efficacy is super important, and HARMO helps you feel it by taking responsibility!
